What To Expect at the Upcoming Cannabis Drinks Expo

The first-ever industry event for cannabis drinks products will bring together national and international distributors in San Francisco

On July 25, San Francisco will host the first-ever Cannabis Drinks Expo, which is dedicated to helping market participants unlock new business opportunities in the fast-growing cannabis drinks industry. Now that a growing number of states – including California – have legalized recreational marijuana, the race is on to find the types of consumer products that will have the greatest likelihood of future success. With that in mind, the Cannabis Drinks Expo is specifically designed for national and international distributors to get a first-hand look at the new range of amazing products that are being developed for the U.S. market.

Throughout the day, participants will have a chance to learn more about the new products available for national and international distribution. At the Cannabis Drinks Expo, you will have a chance to sample new beverages, find logistics partners, and learn about important new trends in how consumers currently view the marketplace for cannabis drinks.

In addition to the active exhibition trade show floor, there will also be a full day of speaker presentations, Q&A sessions and panel discussions designed to illuminate industry best practices and spark new business ideas. One of the keynote speakers will be Bill Silver, CEO of Cannacraft, who will speak on the topic of “Grass Into Glass: Tapping the Market for Cannabis Beverages.” During his presentation, he will discuss the important tactical and strategic considerations that participants should keep in mind as they bring new products to market. While cannabis drinks share some of the same properties and qualities as alcohol beverage, they are an entirely different market segment.

2019 CDE Conference Speakers

The list of speakers for Cannabis Drinks Expo includes some of the biggest names in the industry. Since the cannabis drinks industry is a very regulated marketplace, a high-profile group of legal and regulatory experts will be on hand to provide advice and answer questions about new product launches. These speakers include Rebecca Stamey-White, Partner at Hinman & Carmichael LLP; Michael Cooper, Managing Member at MadisonJay Solutions LLC; and Omar Figueroa, author and cannabis law expert at the Law Offices of Omar Figueroa.

One major goal of the first-ever Cannabis Drinks Expo is to inspire participants with new ideas for launching and distributing the next great cannabis drinks product. To make that possible, this unique one-day event will feature some of the influencers and trendsetters who are making the cannabis industry such a dynamic, fast-growing industry. Speakers include Chip Forsythe, cannabis winemaker, and owner of Rebel Coast Winery; Jamie Evans, Founder of HerbSomm; Jeremy Marshall, Brewmaster at Lagunitas; and Kimberly Belle, cannabis cuisine activist.

Creativity and a spirit of experimentation will be a key part of this event. If you’ve ever wondered about different possibilities in the marketplace or thought about doing something new and completely unexpected with cannabis-related products, you won’t want to miss some of the other speakers during the day. For example, you’ll meet Warren Bobrow, a world-renowned cannabis mixologist, who will showcase how to make some of his most popular cannabis drink creations. You’ll also meet John Korkidis, cannabis mixologist and founder of Proposition Cocktail Co. Many of the most interesting ideas in the cannabis drinks industry are at the intersection of the wine and spirits industry, and you will have plenty of opportunities to learn about new market opportunities.

At the end of the full-day program, you will have the insights, advice, and contacts to bring a new cannabis drink product to market. You’ll have access to best-in-class thinking about logistics and distribution as well as branding. National and international distributors are encouraged to register to see the amazing products that are just waiting for distribution.
